About

This project aims to create an autonomous robot arm that plays chess against a human opponent intelligently, using image processing tools. The computer will read the current status of the chessboard using a video-capture device and use that information to make calculated moves on the board. The main advantage of this approach is that it is more cost-effective and portable. If the computer can recognize the board and pieces, there is no need to add
expensive sensors. The robot can be placed in front of any chessboard and will adapt to its environment to perform its task.
